Outside of work, I hold a private pilot’s license. I have 13 BASE jumps (Building, Antenna, Span, Earth) and over 2,000 skydives in my logbook.

I am a husband and a father of two daughters, and we have a dog. My other interests include photography, wireless penetration testing in my home lab, cooking and learning new recipes, and staying active in the gym.

I am a Wireless Network Consulting Engineer at Cisco Systems, based in the Reston, VA / Washington, DC metro area. My day-to-day work spans the full lifecycle of enterprise wireless, from greenfield designs and RF modeling to deep-dive troubleshooting, security architecture, and platform migrations. I have spent most of those thirteen years with Cisco in the field, which means my instincts are shaped by real deployments: the messy ones, the ones that misbehaved at 2 AM, and the ones that finally worked once we looked at the right frame in Wireshark.

Everything on this blog flows from one goal: earning the Certified Wireless Network Expert (CWNE) designation, the highest credential in the Wi-Fi industry. Pursuing CWNE is not just a certification chase, it is a commitment to going deeper on every topic I thought I already understood. Writing is how I sharpen that understanding and share it with the engineers who are on the same road.
